Monitoring of resource base

Every year in Research and Analytical Centre monitored the state of the resource

base of Autonomous Okrug. Analysis of territorial resources is a necessary component in the formation of the Okrug development strategy, planning of exploration works and preparation for programs of subsoil licensing.

Monitoring includes:

– calculation and impact analysis of the distribution for developed reserves (discovered deposits) of oil, gas, condensate categories: A, B, C1, C2 for various oil-and-gas bearing complexes within the territory of Autonomous Okrug;

– calculation and impact analysis of the distribution of perspective hydrocarbon resources by categories C3 and D1l on oil-and-gas bearing complexes;

– analysis of the efficiency of prospect drilling and confirmation of challenging objects resources;

– conducting of annual balance of reserves and perspective hydrocarbon resources in the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug with the division into allocated and unallocated subsoil funds and certain companies

– subsoil users;

– calculation and impact analysis of the structure of initial total resources of oil, gas and condensate for various oil-and-gas bearing complexes of Yugra territory and their distribution by groups and categories of reserves and resources;

– calculation of the distribution of developed reserves, perspective and prognostic resources for deposits of various sizes for oil-and-gas bearing complexes within the oil and gas fields and in the whole territory of the Autonomous Okrug. For planning and

identification of reference direction for exploration work in the territory of unallocated subsoil fund, as well as on the territory of activity of companies – subsoil users in the allocated subsoil fund with those tasks of forming the main subjects of licensing is assessing the structure of the resource base of certain fields or areas within these territories.

«V.I.Shpilman Research and Analytical Centre for the Rational Use of Subsoil» is the indispensable participant of the revaluation of initial total hydrocarbon raw stock (HC) in the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, which is organized and funded by the Ministry of Natural Resources every 8-10 years on a Russian scale. However, «V.I.Shpilman RAC RUS» regularly carries out the prompt refinement of initial total hydrocarbon resources estimates of various oiland- gas bearing complexes within the performance of other research contracts for both federal and Okrug's Government as well as petroleum companies interested in developing their resource base.

Produced resource assessment and impact analysis of the structure of resources is done using information about reserves and resources of each deposit, each local object, calculated field and oil-and-gas bearing complexes, which accumulates, is constantly updated and supplemented in the integrated database of the Scientific and Analytical Centre.
