Exploration works information over 2019:
From January, 21 to January, 24, 2020 Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra’s exploration works results for 2019 and plans for 2020 were reviewed by the Department for Geology and Subsoil Licensing of the Subsurface Resources Management Department on the Ural Federal District (URALNEDRA) along with Autonomous Institution “V.I. Shpilman Research and Analytical Centre for the Rational Use of the Subsoil”.
The planned volumes of 2019 exploration works were implemented mostly by the major oil companies OJSC “Surgutneftegaz”, PJSC “LUKOIL”, PJSC “Rosneft”, PJSC “Russneft”, PJSC “Gazprom Neft”.
Three fields had been discovered (Sosnovskoe field and V.M. Matusevich field (LLC «RN-Uvatneftegaz»), Vostochno-Unlorskoe (LLC “Sorovskneft”) with total recoverable oil reserves of category C1+C2 (estimated and inferred reserves) of 7.5 million tons were discovered).
The volume of 2019 exploration works was 421.5 thousand meters, including preliminary drilling – 143 thousand meters, 2D seismic prospecting – 2206 line kilometers, 3D seismic prospecting – 5990 km2. Incremental commercial reserves AB1C1 (reasonably assured, identified and estimated categories) was 245 million tons, including due to exploration drilling – 74.8 million tons. Oil production figures for 2019 indicated 236.10 million tons in the Okrug.
Regional seismic works were carried out for two prospective plots on the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra in 2019: Bazhenovskaya 1 deep well drilling (project report), regional seismic works common depth point method – 2D at Zapadno-Zaozerny subsoil plot (900 km).

Three oil fields were discovered in 2019 totally, recoverable oil reserves are 2.355 million tons of category С1 (estimated reserves), 5.138 million tons of category С2 (inferred reserves).
Oil fields, discovered in 2019
1. V.M. Matusevich oil field was discovered within the Yuganskiy 11 subsoil plot (license KhMN 02997 NP) by LLC «RN-Uvatneftegaz». The field is located in Nefteyuganskiy administrative region of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, in 175 km to the south from Nefteyugansk city. It is a part of Yuganskiy oil and gas district of Kaymysovskaya oil-and-gas bearing region. In 2018 the prospecting hole № 1 was drilled. As a result of that oil-and-gas content of Neocomian (bed ЮC2) and middle Jurassic (bed БС8) oil-and-gas bearing complexes were determinated. As a result of bed Ю2 testing between 2875-2889 meters, an oil flow with an oil production rate of 4.68 m3/day was received in condition of hydrodynamic head of 1622 meters. As a result of bed БС8 testing between 2343-2351.5 meters (flow nipple location, 8 mm), an oil flow with an oil production rate of 123.53 m3/day was received.
2. Sosnovskoe oil field was discovered within the Yuganskiy 12 subsoil plot (license KhMN 02998 NP) by LLC «RN-Uvatneftegaz». The field is located in Surgutskiy administrative region of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, in 196 km to the south from Nefteyugansk city. It is a part of Yuganskiy oil and gas district of Kaymysovskaya oil-and-gas bearing region. In 2018 the prospecting hole № 1P was drilled which was a discoverer of the oil field. As a result of that oil-and-gas content of Neocomian (bed БС8). As a result of bed БС8 testing between 2240-2244.5 meters (flow nipple location, 6 mm), an oil flow with an oil production rate of 22.1 m3/day was received.
3. Vostochno-Unlorskoe oil field was discovered within the Vostochno-Unlorskiy subsoil plot (license KhMN 03273 NP) by LLC “Sorovskneft”. The field is located in Surgutskiy administrative region of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, in 155 km to the northeast from Khanty-Mansiysk city It is a part of Lyaminskiy oil and gas district of Frolovskaya oil-and-gas bearing region. In 2018 the prospecting hole № 11 was drilled. As a result of that oil-and-gas content was determinated in middle Jurassic (bed ЮС7).
As a result of bed ЮС7 testing between 2984-2993 meters (flow nipple location, 4 mm), an oil flow with an oil production rate of 5.61 m3/day was received.
